Introducing ISO/IEEE 29119 Software Testing Standard

Abstract: This talk will present basics of the newly published IEEE and ISO standard 29119 software testing. This standard in four parts addresses most aspects of software testing including: concepts, definitions, processes, documents, techniques, and approaches. The standard is the result of 5 years of work by experts from over 20 countries. It will provide a baseline of international and industry business doing software.
Bio: Jon Hagar is a software engineer, leader, and teacher supporting software product integrity, verification, and validation testing. He has worked in software and management for over 32 years. Jon is the IEEE project editor for ISO/IEEE 29119, co-chair for OMG UML testing profile, and works on IEEE1012 V&V plans. Jon consults, publishes teaches, and mentors regularly as well as having a published book on Mobile/Embedded software testing (Software Test Attacks to Break Mobile and Embedded Devices).
